What is Pool data?
Pool data is quarterly financial and actuarial data for the residual market. This data is reported by servicing carriers of the NCCI-managed reinsurance pooling mechanisms.
What is Pool data used for?
Pool data is used by NCCI to:
- Calculate cash settlements to servicing carriers
- Estimate Earned But Not Reported and Incurred But Not Reported reserves
- Generate financial statements for the Pool reinsurance agreements, including each Pool participant’s share of both cash transactions and reserves
