The NCCI Data Collection Procedures (DCP) Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the NCCI Actuarial Committee. Its primary focus is on the review of NCCI's data reporting activities and proposed changes. The NCCI DCP meets three to four times a year to discuss key data reporting topics for the workers compensation industry and to make recommendations to ensure that quality data is reported and collected in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Recommendations by the DCP may be provided to the NCCI Actuarial Committee for further review as appropriate.
NCCI continually researches and refines its manuals, classifications, rules, policy forms, guidelines and other underwriting-related products. NCCI's Underwriting Committee meets to provide a technical industry perspective regarding proposed changes to the national system of workers compensation rules, rating plans, programs, classifications, policy forms, and other general underwriting considerations. The meetings are exclusively for NCCI affiliates and independent bureaus. However, registration is required and is available online now.
Online meeting agendas and minutes are also available free of charge to NCCI affiliates, regulators, and independent bureaus.
The NCCI Individual Risk Rating Working Group (IRRWG) is a working group of the NCCI Actuarial Committee. Its primary focus is on the research and review of NCCI's experience rating and retrospective rating plans.
The Actuarial Committee is continually reviewing and refining its actuarial methodologies to ensure that they are state of the art to benefit all WC stakeholders, and meets at least four times a year to discuss key research and ratemaking topics.
