Detailed Claim Information (DCI) is data from a sampling of indemnity (lost time from work) claims. This data provides information on wages, benefits, claimant impairment, attorney involvement, and lump-sum payments.

DCI Data Collection—Allows you to search, enter, view, correct, and update DCI claims. To further assist you with your DCI reporting, the tool offers these additional features:

File Tracking allows you to monitor Production, Certification, and Pre-Edit DCI data files sent by you or your company. You can also monitor the data files sent to you and when they were downloaded.

Data Quality Observations allows you to view the results for all observations performed on your DCI data submissions compared to industry results.

Data Reports provides information regarding your submissions and edits identified by NCCI.

Carrier Information allows you to access your carrier group information and view coverage provider IDs (carrier codes) that fall under your group. Buyout/runoff dates, contact information, and branch addresses can also be accessed.

Extract Data allows you to extract your DCI data in the Workers Compensation Call for Detailed Claim Information format for your internal use, such as creating subsequent reports, archiving, or researching.

DCI Pre-Edit Service—Allows you to submit a DCI data file to pre-edit and receive an edit report to help correct the data prior to submitting to production.

Data Transfer via the Internet (DTVI)—Is a Web-based tool for reporting your data. You can also use this tool to receive submission reports and track your data files sent to and from NCCI.

Data Manager Dashboard (DMD)—Allows you to monitor your company’s expected claims. You can also access your data quality and timeliness results for the
Data Quality Incentive Program (DQIP) and
Carrier Data Quality Report Program (Carrier Report Card).
