Bill Donnell, president and CEO of the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), recently spoke with Triple-I CEO Sean Kevelighan about what’s top of mind for today’s insurance executives such as rate adequacy. “Despite several years of declines in loss costs and rates, workers compensation is resilient and remains strong,” Donnell said.
Other notable components of the conversation include the Great Reshuffle, inflation, and the impact of the pandemic on workers compensation.
Donnell also offered his perspective on how the nearly 100-year-old industry can stay relevant in the years ahead. “It’s about modernizing data and analysis, it’s about attracting the best talent, and never losing focus about why we exist, which is helping the injured worker,” he said.
