Annual Statistical Bulletin is a reference guide for obtaining a variety of aggregate workers compensation statistics on rates, benefits, claim costs, and various other informational items. Most exhibits provide information by state and on a countrywide basis. Also included are single state PDFs that include all of that state’s exhibits in one file.
Easily referenced exhibits by state include:
- Histories of voluntary and assigned risk premium level changes
- Histories of benefit level changes
- Latest five years of underwriting results, based on the Annual Statement
- Five-year history of assigned risk market shares
- Summary of tax, assessment, and LAE provisions in the bureau loss costs and/or rates
- Benefit provision summaries
- Five-year history of the average weekly wage
- Accident year loss development factors
- Distribution of incurred losses by injury type
- Average cost of claims by injury type
- Frequency of claims by injury type
The complete
ASB, which includes a full PDF, individual state packets, and downloadable Microsoft® Excel files, is typically posted in June. NCCI posts interim exhibits (as downloadable Excel files) as updates become available throughout the year.

- The November interim posting includes updates to Exhibits 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
- The March interim posting includes updates to Exhibits 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9.
- Exhibits 10, 11, and 12 are only updated during the full release of
ASB in June.
