Consistent Reporting of Multi-Data Type Fields
Attention data reporters! Have you read the latest information on consistent reporting across all data types?
NCCI communicated the importance of data providers to report the data linking fields in accordance with their reporting rules and to be consistent across data types for the life of the policy and the life of the claim.
Consistently reporting the field values that NCCI uses for linking within each data type, and across all data types, enables NCCI to use all data elements for the same policy and associated claims.
Below are the data linking fields by data type:
Note: An “X” denotes that the data element is applicable for the data type.
During Fourth Quarter 2022, NCCI’s
Financial Call Reporting Guidebook as well as the
Unit Statistical Reporting Guidebook were published containing information on consistent reporting of data linking fields. Refer to those published guidebooks for detailed information.
In 2023, these data reporting guidebooks are scheduled to incorporate this information:
-
Pool Data Reporting Guidebook
-
Indemnity Data Call Reporting Guidebook
-
Medical Data Call Reporting Guidebook
-
Policy and POC Reporting Guidebook
