April 1, 2026 (BOCA RATON, FL)—At its Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) 2026, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) will introduce a fresh approach to delivering workers compensation related demographic insights with two dynamic, back-to-back sessions. AIS will take place on May 11–13, 2026, in Orlando, FL.
The first session, "Demographic Forces Shaping Workplace Risk," will be led by NCCI Senior Economist Patrick Coate, PhD. "Understanding how the workforce is evolving is essential to understanding risk," said Patrick. “From an aging population to migration trends to labor force participation, this session looks at the drivers of overall workforce shifts and the link between demographics and injury patterns.”
The second session, "From Demographics to Claims: Turning Data Into Insights," will be presented by Paul Hendrick, NCCI Practice Leader and Senior Actuary. "Using NCCI data, we’ll build on the broader demographic picture to explore how claim trends align with and diverge from overall injury patterns," said Paul. "We’ll connect experience to outcomes to illustrate the potential implications for workers compensation."
NCCI President and CEO Tracy Ryan wil l open the symposium with key insights and a forward-looking vision for the industry. A highlight of AIS is NCCI’s State of the Line Report, an exclusive review of the workers compensation system from NCCI’s Chief Actuary Donna Glenn, FCAS. Another session features the California and New York bureau presidents joining Tracy Ryan to discuss unique state dynamics and shared efforts to support a healthy workers compensation system.
More than 900 insurance leaders will gather at AIS, the industry’s premier event, to address today's most relevant issues and foster valuable connections across the industry. For complete details on the agenda and to register for AIS 2026, visit ncci.com/AIS.
