April 2, 2025 (BOCA RATON, FL)—The Cost Conundrum: How Medical Utilization Shapes Future Costs is just one of the sessions that the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) will feature at its Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) 2025, May 12–14 in Orlando, FL. NCCI expert Raji H. Chadarevian will present.

"Medical costs continue to be a top industry concern, which is why it is critical to look beyond price inflation," said Chadarevian, NCCI's Executive Director—Actuarial Research and author of several Thought Leadership articles on medical inflation. "In this session, we will explore utilization as a medical cost driver, as well as changes in medical practices and the potential impact on workers compensation."

Tracy Ryan, FCAS, NCCI's President & CEO, will open the symposium, providing her expert insights and forward-looking vision for the industry. A key highlight of AIS is NCCI's State of the Line Report, an exclusive review of the workers compensation system delivered by NCCI’s Chief Actuary, Donna Glenn, FCAS, MAAA.

Additional sessions include a deep dive into industry-specific trends, a panel discussion on the future of claims management, and a detailed look at the economy and its impact on workers compensation. Other sessions will explore trends in motor vehicle accidents, as well as trends in pain management beyond opioids.

More than 900 insurance leaders will gather at AIS, the industry’s premier event, to address today's most relevant issues and foster valuable connections across the industry. Dynamic thought leaders will deliver data-driven insights, providing workers compensation executives with the tools and perspective to navigate an evolving workers compensation landscape. For complete details on the agenda and to register for AIS 2025, visit ncci.com/AIS.
