NCCI offers federal coverage service to insurance companies that write United States Longshore and Harbor Workers' coverage. NCCI has partnered with the United States Department of Labor (US DOL) to provide this federal coverage electronically on a daily basis to eliminate hard copy reporting. NCCI uses the policy data reported by data providers to deliver this new service.
NCCI provides key coverage information to the United States Department of Labor (US DOL) Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs as the authorized Data Collection Organization (DCO). Insurers that write workers compensation policies endorsed with USL&HW Act coverage must not report directly to the US DOL.
