Clarissa Preston, Senior State Relations Executive, is responsible for NCCI’s regulatory and legislative affairs, including rate/loss cost filings, legislative pricings, rule and form filings, appeals mechanisms, and residual market issues.
Prior to joining NCCI, Ms. Preston was a governmental relations advisor for Adams and Reese, LLP in Baton Rouge, LA. She has also served in leading roles with the Louisiana Department of Insurance—alternately filling the role of Deputy Commissioner of Insurance for the Office of Consumer Advocacy as well as the Office of Property and Casualty. Ms. Preston has also worked as an insurance company multi-lined producer.
Ms. Preston earned her BA in sociology from the Louisiana State University and MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is also an American Bar Association-approved certified paralegal and a commissioned civil law notary public. She is designated as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Workers Compensation Professional (WCP).
