We are pleased to announce that the
Basic Manual for Florida
(effective July 1, 2024) is available in
NCCI Atlas. This means that you now have access to view and research content in all NCCI states as well as content in the
Basic Manual for Indiana.
With
NCCI Atlas, you have the ability to review and compare
Basic Manual for Florida topics from several perspectives:
- single state
- multistate, or
- all NCCI states.
Note that you have access to the state
Basic Manual PDF and the ability to print topics or pages as needed.
Rates/Loss Costs
With the
Basic Manual for Florida
(effective July 1, 2024) in
NCCI Atlas, you have immediate access to voluntary rates for the state right from the landing page.
Updates to the Manuals Library
As we near the July 1, 2024, effective date for the
Basic Manual for Florida, there will be several changes made to the
Manuals Library.
Basic Manual 2001 Edition
As of 12:01 a.m. on July 1, 2024, all NCCI states that reference
Basic Manual content will have approved the
Basic Manual–Effective 2021. For this reason, two notable changes will be taking place.
- On June 27, 2024, NCCI will move the
Basic Manual 2001 Edition to the Previous Editions section of the
Manuals Library.
- For consistency, the label name for the
Basic Manual–Effective 2021 will be updated to
Basic Manual.
Basic Manual User’s Guide for Florida
The
Basic Manual User’s Guide for Florida is expected to be approved in the next several weeks and will be available in PDF format, similar to that of the other NCCI states. The
Basic Manual User’s Guide is a companion to the
Basic Manual for Florida.
Scopes® Manual for Florida
The
Scopes® Manual for Florida will also be available in the next several weeks in a convenient PDF format. This manual provides clarity on the classification codes that apply specifically in Florida, including any state exceptions.
Currently, both the
Scopes® Manual 2021 and the
Scopes® Manual (pre-Atlas edition) will remain in the
Manuals Library. However, only the
Scopes® Manual 2021 is updated with the latest state information. Refer to individual state manuals for the latest classification changes.
Class Look-Up for Florida
Class Look-Up currently contains
Basic Manual 2001 information for Florida. The tool will soon be updated to include content from the
Basic Manual and
Scopes® Manual for Florida
(effective July 1, 2024).
The
Class Look-Up tool provides class information by state, class code, and phraseology. In addition, the Code Summary tab provides added information, including:
- phraseology applicability by state
- access to Scopes® information, and
- SIC and NAICs codes.
