Medical Cost Trends—What’s in the Mix is just one of the sessions that the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) will feature at its
Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) 2024, May 13–15 in Orlando, FL. NCCI experts Raji H. Chadarevian and Jon Sinclair, FCAS, MAAA will present.
“Industry stakeholders continue to raise concerns about medical trends," said Chadarevian, NCCI’s Executive Director of Actuarial Research and author of several Thought Leadership articles on medical inflation. "Untangling the types of medical services provided, where they are provided, and how much they cost is critical to understanding the underlying trend drivers."
"Our research illustrates the interconnectivity between physicians, hospitals, prescription drugs, and more, providing a better understanding of medical severity trends," said Sinclair, Director and Actuary. "We'll also unveil the next step in understanding medical utilization—an exciting new measure for hospital inpatient stays to explain price and utilization trends."
A key highlight of
AIS includes NCCI's
State of the Line Report, an exclusive review of the workers compensation system. Additional
