Challenges for Today's Worker—The Big Three: Physical Space | Mental Health | Environmental Impact is just one of the sessions that the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) will feature at its
Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) 2024, May 13–15 in Orlando, FL. NCCI experts Patrick Coate, PhD and Anae Myers, ACAS, MAAA will present.
"Growing mental health awareness calls for expanded perspectives on well-being in workers compensation," said Myers, Assistant Actuary. "NCCI's analysis highlights key trends in mental health diagnoses for injured workers—with and without physical injury—and the implications for our industry."
"As extreme weather events grow more common, carriers across the country have identified climate change as an emerging concern," said Coate, Senior Economist. "NCCI is conducting relevant research for a broad spectrum of extreme weather events, including how both severely high and low temperatures may potentially drive workplace injuries. In our session, we'll unveil findings based on over 20 years of data across nearly 40 states."
A key highlight of
AIS includes NCCI's
State of the Line Report, an exclusive review of the workers compensation system. Additional
AIS 2024 topics include a detailed look at medical cost trends, a review of the industry's AI evolution, and a panel discussion on workplace safety technology. The economy and its impact on workers compensation and an industry drill down will round out the main program.
AIS is the industry's premier conference that combines unmatched workers compensation expertise with one-of-a-kind networking opportunities. The industry's most respected thought leaders will provide exclusive workers compensation insights for executives, regulators, and industry partners to support informed decision making.
