FYI-DR-2022-01—Data Reporting—NAIC Data Call Related to Terrorism Risk Insurance Coverage: Provided update on NCCI’s continued coordination efforts to serve as a pass-through for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Data Call for NCCI states and the independent state rating bureaus, except California and New York for 2022.
DR-2022-01—Data Reporting—Catastrophe Number 11—Ending Accident Date for Hurricane Harvey in Texas: Provided the ending accident date determine by the Texas Department of Insurance for claims associated with Hurricane Harvey Catastrophe Number 11.
POLS-2022-01—Policy—New Policy Data Element—Claim Administrator FEIN: Announced that in July of 2022, NCCI began collecting a new Workers Compensation Policy Reporting Specifications (WCPOLS) data element, the Claim Administrator Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). Reported on the State Premium Record, the fields was created at the request of regulators specifically for Proof of Coverage (POC). NCCI implemented three new edits for the collection of the Claim Administrator FEIN data element.
FYI-DR-2022-02—Data Reporting—2022 Provisions for Workers Compensation Terrorism Data—Federal Insurance Office (FIO) Section 111 of TRIPRA of 2015, extended in the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2019: Announced that NCCI will continue to coordinate with the FIO and independent bureaus and monopolistic fund states to provide the workers compensation portion of FIO’s data collection provision for 2022.
POC-ID-2022-01—Idaho—Proof of Coverage—Updated POC Reporting Requirements , and FYI-POC-ID-2022-02—Idaho Proof of Coverage Update: Provided updated reporting requirements effective in June of 2022 for Idaho POC reporting. The Idaho Industrial Commission (IC) will transition to the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) POC Release 3.0 XML format. The IC will begin to require the Email Address, Industry Code and Claim Administrator FEIN, on July 1, 2023.
POC-ME-2022-01—Maine—Proof of Coverage—Updated POC Reporting Requirements: Announced that in September 2022, the Maine Workers Compensation Board will prefer that the Claim Administrator FEIN be reported.
