In 2023 NCCI celebrated a century of service to the workers compensation industry. Reaching this milestone reflects an unwavering dedication to our mission and the collective effort of our employees, industry partners, and stakeholders who have been with us every step of the way. I'm proud of what we accomplished throughout the year.
We met our core objectives, which represent how we serve the industry, including:
- Loss cost inadequacy at 0.0% with 35 of 36 states approved as filed.
- The Residual Market operated at just a 0.4% operating loss.
- Key data critical to industry processes was available for timely use and above target in terms of comprehensiveness and quality.
- NCCI’s Thought Leadership expanded both in terms of quantity, and in how it was delivered to our stakeholders.
These commitments form the foundation of our value which grows as we build new offerings and modernize the delivery of our solutions.
We launched
NCCI Atlas, an entirely new platform that provides content in a format that’s current, direct, and easy to find. We also launched our
Claims Data Dashboard, transforming medical and indemnity data into valuable insights for benchmarking results and visualizing trends. And we continue to enhance
NCCI Academy, empowering workers compensation professionals to obtain the training they need to help our industry thrive now and in the years to come.
In the bigger picture, I’m very proud that we are cultivating partnerships with organizations to enhance knowledge of careers in workers compensation and insurance overall, creating opportunity to grow and diversify the pipeline of talent in our industry.
