Welcome to NCCI’s Online Classification Inspection Order Form

The Online Classification Inspection Order Form provides a quick and easy method to order a classification inspection.

What is a Classification Inspection and How Does it Work?

A classification inspection is an on-site review of a policyholder’s current business operations to determine the proper classification code(s). Once a classification inspection is ordered, the request is sent to an inspection coordinator for processing and subsequent assignment to an NCCI inspector or an inspector retained by NCCI.

An inspector visits the policyholder’s business and documents the type of work being conducted (e.g., process, materials, equipment, final product, etc...), the employees or other personnel performing the work, and develops a detailed classification inspection report. A technical and quality review of the inspector’s recommendation is performed and the final classification inspection report is issued by NCCI.
