NCCI's classification system. The NCCI’s Regulatory Assurance Department of NCCI
ensures that the classification system remains healthy, viable, and responsive
to the needs of the workers compensation industry.
Recommendations on the workers compensation classification system
periodically are made to users in order to obtain national approval with
regulators in multiple states. The changes may result in:
- Clarifying existing codes in plain language
- Establishing new codes
- Eliminating outdated codes
