How does it add value?
With the addition of Claim and Cost Diagnostics, our Loss Development Exhibits allow you to explore state-specific workers compensation information that can supplement company experience for your own ratemaking, reserving, and other actuarial analyses. The files include various summaries of aggregate data by state and are available for those jurisdictions where NCCI makes rate/loss cost recommendations. These data summaries are based on validated NCCI Financial Call information.
What state-specific insights do the detailed diagnostic exhibits provide?
- Historical patterns of lost-time claim closure rates
- Relative movement of paid losses—to paid losses plus case reserves—over time
- Average lost-time claim severities appear separately for indemnity and medical
