At NCCI, the health and safety of our employees, customers, and all event attendees are of the highest importance. After closely monitoring the developments surrounding novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to transform our Annual Issues Symposium (AIS) 2020 to a more focused virtual experience. We are excited to connect with stakeholders online and will have more details in the near future. In the meantime, read our AIS Virtual FAQs for currently available information.

  1. When will AIS Virtual take place?

The virtual event will take place Tuesday, May 12, starting at 1:00 p.m. ET.

NCCI’s Annual Meeting for Members will be held Tuesday, May 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET.

  2. Exactly how will a virtual experience work?

NCCI will host AIS on a Web-based platform that facilitates sessions, videos, and feedback. AIS Virtual will be one of many online events NCCI holds throughout the year.

  3. What if I don’t have the technology to attend AIS Virtual?

If you have an Internet connection, you can attend AIS Virtual. As always, we will have an AIS Highlights Page on ncci.com that anyone can refer to later to review event content. Additionally, you’ll be able to access content on our YouTube channel, Channel NCCI.

  4. Did NCCI consider postponing AIS instead?

Given the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve decided going virtual is the best decision. In addition, as The Source You Trust for Workers Compensation Information, our goal is to deliver critical industry insights as part of our State of the Line presentation in mid-May each year to most effectively update the industry’s annual results. We also believe AIS Virtual will provide a unique experience and view into our premier workers compensation industry event. We look forward to delivering a high-level digital AIS.

  5. Will I receive a refund of my registration fees?

All paying registered attendees will receive a full refund, via the original payment method, within 30 days.

  6. Will my registration be cancelled?

No. NCCI will refund payments but will keep registrants on our list to receive information about, and access to, AIS Virtual. We will also keep our Registration Page open on ncci.com for anyone new wishing to receive information about attending our virtual event.

  7. Is there a fee for the AIS Virtual?

AIS Virtual will be a free online event for anyone to experience.

  8. How do I register for AIS Virtual?

Complete the online registration form to sign up in advance and receive details about joining the event.

  9. Will NCCI take its other events virtual?

NCCI has increased its offering of virtual events over the past few years, so we are well prepared to do so and have moved several other events to a virtual format. Please check out our Events Calendar on ncci.com for items that may be of interest to you.

  10. Will AIS Virtual include NCCI’s State of the Line?

The AIS Virtual event agenda is now available, including our State of the Line presentation.

  11. What is happening with NCCI’s Regulatory Forum during AIS?

NCCI is canceling its Regulatory Forum due to its in-person nature. It is our hope that regulators who were planning to attend will still join us online for AIS Virtual.

  12. Who do I contact with more questions?

NCCI will provide updates as available but if you have additional questions, you can contact our Customer Service Center at customer_service@ncci.com.

  13. Do I need to cancel my hotel reservation at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes or Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes?

If you made your hotel reservation within the AIS room block at either hotel listed above, you DO NOT need to cancel the reservation. Your reservation will be automatically cancelled, and you will received an automated cancellation confirmation email from the hotel.

If you made your hotel reservation outside of the AIS room block or if you booked a hotel reservation at an alternate hotel in Orlando, please remember to cancel that reservation.

  14. Will I still receive continuing education credits for AIS Virtual?

Due to the nature of this virtual experience, NCCI is not able to provide CPCU or CLE continuing education credits for AIS Virtual.
