As a state relations executive, Carolyn Pearl is responsible for NCCI's regulatory and legislative affairs, including rate/loss cost filings, legislative pricings, rule and form filings, appeals mechanisms, and residual market issues.
Prior to joining NCCI in 1995, Pearl held underwriting management positions at two insurance companies, and was property/casualty rates and rules development manager for an independent rating bureau. She also served as director of government affairs and education for the Hawaii Independent Insurance Agents Association. Pearl earned her MBA degree from Hawaii Pacific University and is designated as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Additionally, she holds the designations of Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), Associate in Underwriting (AU), and Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM).
