As a state relations executive, Amy Quinn is responsible for NCCI's regulatory and legislative affairs, including rate/loss cost filings, legislative pricings, rule and form filings, appeals mechanisms, and residual market issues.
Prior to joining NCCI in 2005, Quinn worked closely with the director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance (DOI) as the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and Washington liaison. In this capacity, she closely monitored regulatory activities and helped develop relationships with trade organizations, NAIC members, and the US Congress.
Earlier in her career at the DOI, Quinn was the director of agent licensing and education. Quinn earned her BS degree in risk and insurance management from the University of South Carolina and her MBA from Winthrop University. She is also a certified Associate Public Manager (APM) in South Carolina.
