Servicing carriers of the NCCI-managed Pools are responsible for reporting residual market (Pool) data to NCCI. In order to assist in understanding and correcting the data with errors and rejects, we are pleased to announce the release of the Pool Data Edit Matrix.
The Pool Data Edit Matrix contains details on the editing process that currently takes place in NCCI’s database. This Edit Matrix is the most comprehensive resource for information on NCCI’s Pool data editing and can be used when reviewing reject and error reports to obtain the details on each error. This Matrix can be utilized as a supplement to the Error Log found in Pool Data Online. Using the Pool Data Edit Matrix When data is submitted to NCCI, it is put through a series of quality checks that verify the validity, accuracy, and completeness of the data submitted. Editing is critical to ensuring that the data submitted is consistent with reporting requirements and meets quality standards. Edits identify any data that is (or may be) in error, so that data providers can correct the data or provide necessary explanations.
If there are any errors, the Pool Data Edit Matrix will provide the detail necessary to complete your research to resolve the problem with the data. To help you to understand how to use the Edit Matrix, please refer to the Pool Data Edit Matrix Instructions. Edit Matrix All Edits in Production are provided in the following matrices. View, print, or download the Pool Data Edit Matrix in either format—pdf or Microsoft Word®. The Pool Data Edit Matrix has been updated to modify the effective date for the 12 recently added edits. As we make changes to this matrix, we will continue to update this Web article on ncci.com.
