Mandatory reporting for Medical Data Call will begin with medical transactions occurring in 3rd Quarter 2010, due to be reported to NCCI by the end of 4th Quarter 2010. Before production files can be accepted by NCCI, Medical Data Call providers must pass certification for each carrier group that they will be submitting data for.
The certification process involves the initial setup, creation of test files, review of edit results, and approval for production submission. This process ensures that all connections are functioning and data files are received successfully. Certification for the Medical Data Call will begin in 2nd Quarter 2010.
To assist data providers with the certification process, the Electronic Transmission User’s Guide has been updated to include the certification requirements for the Medical Data Call. This guide is located in NCCI’s Manuals Library.
